Dr Ella Amini

Dr Ella Amini

Dr. Ella Amini is a General Practitioner who graduated from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in Iran. With two years of experience in tertiary hospitals and around three years as a GP in Iran, she moved to Sydney with her husband, and together they fell in love with the natural beauty and rich birdlife of the Mid North Coast. This inspired them to settle in the area as Ella continues her journey toward fellowship.In her free time, Ella enjoys camping and hiking along the stunning trails of the Mid North Coast, watching movies, solving jigsaw puzzles, and expanding her medical knowledge. While she’s still refining her English and clinical expertise, she eagerly embraces new challenges that foster both personal and professional growth.

Dr Long (Lawrie) Phan Nguyen

Dr Long (Lawrie) Phan Nguyen

Dr Long (Lawrie) Phan Nguyen has been a GP in Taree since 2004. He completed his training as a doctor at the University of NSW and finished his GP Fellowship in 2000. Besides being a doctor, he also enjoys table tennis, tenpin bowling, walking and reading. He has been a Taree resident for 20 years and loves what he does. Dr Long (Lawrie) Phan Nguyen considers it an honour and privilege to work at the Horizon Skin Cancer and Medical Centre.

Dr Mohammed Hamdy

Dr Mohammed Hamdy

MBChB, FRACGP, AMC, MCc, Dermatology, CCSCM (Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine), CCD (Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy)

Dr Hamdy has graduated from Medical School in Egypt in 2010. He worked as a General Practitioner in Egypt for 5 years before migrating to Australia in 2017. He obtained his Master’s degree in Dermatology and Sexual Health Medicine from Egypt in 2016 and completed his Australian Medical Council Certificate in 2017. Hamdy has been working in Bankstown Hospital in South Western Sydney for the last 2 years in Emergency, Respiratory, General Medicine and Paediatrics.

Dr Mounia Torche

Dr Mounia Torche

MBBS

Dr Torche was granted her doctorate in 2009 from Constantine Medical University in Algeria. She has 9 years of extensive experience as a General Practitioner. She is a member of the RACGP and has gained a professional certificate in women’s health.

Dr Torche is fluent in Arabic and French, and her area of interests are general practice, women’s health and children’s health.

 

Dr Mohamed Eldeib

Dr Mohamed Eldeib has been granted his medical degree from Egypt (MBChB) in 2007. In 2014 he was granted the membership of the Royal college of Surgeons from England (MRCS). Dr Eldeib was trained in surgery and worked as a surgical registrar in Australia and overseas.

He worked in Gosford, Wyong, North shore private and Liverpool hospital. In 2018 he started his skin cancer work at River Street Surgery in Taree. In 2021 Dr Eldeib was granted his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr Eldeib has joined the Skin Cancer College of Australasia in 2019 and has been granted the Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery (ACCSCMS). He has also gained Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy (ACCD) with Distinction.

Dr Eldeib is an accredited skin cancer doctor and has been offering Skin cancer checks and advanced skin cancer surgery including Skin flaps and grafts at River Street Surgery since 2018.

Dr Mohamed Ibrahim

Master’s Critical care medicine

Dr Mohamed Ibrahim has been granted his medical degree from Egypt (MBChB) in 2004. In 2012 he was granted the Master’s degree in critical care medicine. In 2017 he was granted the European diploma of critical care medicine (EDIC) from Belgium. Dr. Ibrahim worked as an intensive care specialist in Emirates, Dubai for 5 years.

Dr Ibrahim was trained in general medicine and critical care medicine and worked as a medical and intensive care registrar in Australia and overseas.

Dr. Ibrahim worked in Rockhampton Base Hospital and Manning Base Hospital. Now, he is a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) under the RACGP’s Practice Experience Program (PEP).

In 2022. Dr Ibrahim started his skin cancer work at River Street Surgery in Taree and has been granted the Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine (CCSCM). He has also gained a Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy (CCD) from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Jesse de Vries

Dr Jesse de Vries

FRACGP, MBBS, BSc.

Dr Jesse de Vries graduated from the University of Qld in 2003, and after 8 years of hospital training moved into general practice in 2011, gaining his GP fellowship in 2015 in Sydney.

He moved to Taree in 2023 to sub-specialise in skin cancer medicine and surgery, and holds certificates in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery.

Special interests include:

  • Skin cancer checks and excisions.Skin problems and general dermatology.
  • Assessment of acute presentations for example acute abdominal pain or fevers.
  • Headache and migraine management.
  • Men’s health checks including male pattern baldness and erectile dysfunction management.

Dr Yin Man Chan

MBBS, BDS, MDS

Dr Chan first graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery in the University of Otago, New Zealand, in 2004. He then completed his Master of Dental Surgery in Hong Kong by year 2009.

Dr Chan migrated to Australia and started his medical training thereafter. He obtained his degree from the University of Western Sydney in 2013. After he spent his residency years in Nepean Hospital, he then worked as a maxillofacial surgery registrar in Westmead Hospital and Prince of Wales Hospital.

Dr Chan started to work as a general practitioner since 2018. He joined the Horizon Skin Cancer and Medical Centre in early 2023. Throughout the years he gained Advanced Certificate and Professional Certificates of Skin Cancer Medicine from the Health Cert, Australia.  He is also a member of the Royal Australasian College of General Practice.

Dr Elsharkawy is coming from the Emergency department at Manning Base Hospital to join our team at Horizon Skin Cancer and Medical Centre.

Dr Ahmad Lotfy Ahmad

Dr Ahmad Lotfy Ahmad

PhD, MBBCh

Dr Ahmad brings years of experience in audiological medicine. He shows a great interest in ENT, Hearing loss, Tinnitus and Vertigo as well as general medicine. In addition to the Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery obtained in 2005, Dr. Ahmad holds a Diploma in Vestibular Medicine and a Masters and PhD degrees in ear diseases. We welcome him to our team at Horizon Skin Cancer and Medical Centre.
